Hello Dolly Bars, aka magic bars or seven-layer bars…. the perfect treat to make when you’re cleaning out the pantry. They’re so simple to make, and its made from ingredients I normally have on hand. They’re so simple and easy to whip up. These are also very easy to modify to your liking. Use different kinds of chips – peanut butter, butterscotch, white chocolate, or whatever suits your desire. Use different nuts. Add marshmallows. Whatever pleases your belly
Helly Dolly Bars
1 1/2 c crushed cinnamon graham crackers (about 8 graham crackers)
1 – 1 1/2 c of chocolate chips, as desired
1 1/2 c of shredded coconut
1 c of chopped pecans
1 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c of butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Add melted butter and graham cracker crumbs to 8×8 cake pan. Mix well to form a crust. Layer chocolate chips, nuts, & coconut on top of crust. Evenly pour sweetened condensed milk over everything.
Bake in oven for 25 to 30 minutes, top should be light brown. Let cool in pan for at least half an hour, cut into bars and serve.
Variation: Today I used 3/4 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup chocolate chunks, 1/3 cup peanut butter chips, 1/3 cup mini peanut butter cups. I also used cinnamon graham crackers.
